I have a 68 firebird, 400 block with a rebuilt holley. It ran fine before, but now when i start it cold, i have to give it gas and all that (choke not right) but it will start and eventually will hold idle and run fine. You can drive the car no problems, idles good. no stalls. I drove it parked it. And immediately turned it over and it just cranked. So i tried again but pumped the heck out of it and even keep the pedal to the floor and it then started up and then idled fine. So, do i have the idle mixture screws not right (too lean?) or maybe the idle screw too high (cuasing it to flood when shut off?).

first thing it would help if you stated which holley you have. the list number is stamped on the air horn, its 4 digits like 3010. did you check your float levels assuming you have an externally adjustable float?
