1969 Lemans Universal question

I have a 69 lemans/judge clone
I had a 10 bolt 2.56 rear in it.
I found a 1970 chevy Chevelle 12 bolt 4.42 posi rear and put that in yesterday.
My driveshaft is about a half inch to long it appear for he new rear and pinion yoke...
Also the Chevelle pinion yoke measures 1 1/16" and my pontiac measures 1 1/8".

What's the best way to rectify this?

Cut the driveshaft down and get a staggered universal?
Swap out the Chevelle pinion yoke for pontiac yoke?

I found this.... The numbers work for my Chevelle pinion yoke and pontiac driveshaft so it looks like I'm shortening the driveshaft and ordering this universal....
