1970 Catalina convertible LS swap

I want to do LS swap but will rebuild original motor over next 3 years and want reliable driver.
Does anyone know what engine fits in her best without destroying the original car? Also what is the max horsepower this car can handle?

Can find no evidence of anybody doing a simple LS swap into a 1970 Pontiac full size frame, Chevrolet yes but not Pontiac.

My motor is out, (getting rebuilt) from the look of the frame you need a rear sump pan , I can measure the motor mount location distance from the firewall if you need that. The center drag link is something that could be an issue its behind the main cross member . Let me know if you want pictures or measurements.

An LS is usually computer controlled, how is that going to work with a TH400 not to mention the different bolt pattern?
