How do you remove the cigarette lighter housing from the dash of a 1970 Pontiac Lemans sport?

Two types:
Push in : the tangs pop out and keep the lighter housing in the hole.
Screw in : inner housing unscrews from the front . ( most common)

You are right Mel, ( cant rememember fixed it above
) sometimes they rust up together and you have to cut them apart with a Dremel from behind the dash.

Thanks for the suggestions. The chrome bezel does not screw off, or at least not easily, as I have tried. I will try unscrewing the housing from the back.
