1970 Pontiac Catalina conv. Door latch issues

Hello everyone. The doors can only be open from the inside. When trying to open door from outside it will not open. This issues also on opposite side. Has any one had this issues. What was the saluttion. Thank

Open the interior door panels and look for disconnected linkage.

A previous owner probably disconnected the outer handles, but you won't know until you remove a door panel and look at the linkage. The 1970 & older door handles are pretty solid, unlike the 1971 and later handles. So it should not be a broken handle. But again you won't know for sure until you remove the door panel and check it out.
