I just got a 1970 LeMans convertible. Super cool car. I need to replace the fuel pump. Where is it?

Passenger side near the bottom of the front of the block. If you have to ask that question are you sure you have the skills to replace it and why are you replacing it?

You are correct, confused it with a Chevy. Why are you replacing it?

First of all, I should have mentioned that the engine is a 400CI from a 1969 Grand Prix. (The heads are from a '68 Firebird.)

I am having trouble starting the car. Sometimes it starts easily, other times I cannnot get it to start. I don't know for sure if it is the fuel pump, but the last time I could not start the car, it sure seemed like it was not getting any fuel. It's fairly easy to replace, and inexpensive, so I am going to try it.

Any suggestions? I probably need to take it to a shop that has a dyno and get it set exactly right.

Thanks a lot for any tips.
