1971 Lemans Sport convertible - tire size

My Lemans in in for paint. It would be a shame to pick it up with anything less than new wheels! I am looking at the American Racing VN501 machined or the US Mags Bandits. Both I would like to go 17x7. All suspension is new, stock height. What can I fit without rubbing? Just go with 4" backspace? Thanks!

If you look at the American racing site the only VN501 in 17x7 with a 120.65 bolt pattern is the 4" backspace wheel VN5017034500.
You dont say anything about your tire size choice

Sorry. That is what I meant to ask. What tire size can I fit without any rubbing? Sorry i missed that.

The front can take 235/50x17 and the rear 245/50x17. I have seen larger in the rear but unsure about wheel spec.
