Hi, guys.

Newbie here....looking at a 1972 Catalina Vert. It looks pretty nice (haven't seen it in person yet) and solid. It's beige with a black top and dark tan/caramel/butterscotch color interior.

I've included a few pics from the ad. Guy wants $2800 for it.
My mom had a 1974 Grand Prix that I learned to drive on, and this reminds me of it, sorta. It does have a 400 engine with 110K miles.

Thoughts? Anyone with experience let me know what to look out for?

Thanks!

Thanks!

either the nada website is overpriced or you have a steal

You think? Cool.

try to have a mechanic check it before buying, look for rust on the frame and body panels
Ok, will try to do that.

I sthis car something Pontiac lovers like, or is it one of those oddball models that no one pays much attention to? I actually like how it looks, but your honest comments won't hurt. LOL.

I just wish it had Rally 2 Wheels.....think I can get them?

rally wheels you can find at www.amesperf.com, dont get rid of the old wheels. Obviously it's not as hot as a GTO or Firebird, but there is a buyer for anything. You can get the original build sheet from PHS www.phs-online.com

I say go for it, convertibles will always have resale value.
