• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hello all, thanks to everyone that helped out during my search for parts, especially Doug in P.R. I am now very close to completing a frame off restoration with '73 Luxury Le MANS L75 455 coupe. I have come to acquire the majority of parts I needed, but still need a NOS door molding for the driver side GM # 8707767 Also look for the rear bumper rub strip GM part # 485299.
Lastly, upper & lower NOS fan shroud parts, GM 487666 & 487665 respectively. I've heard the shroud parts may have alternate part numbers.
I look forward to posting some of the project pictures and the final completed vehicle once finished. Any help obtaining these remaining parts would be appreciated. Thank you all, Dave

Dave, did you try www.car-part.com? I tried just the rear bumper and they listed about 6 , may get lucky with a complete car sitting around in good shape. (Just an idea )

Or have Franks Pontiac Parts get your list ;)

Those bumper strips are made of unobtanium! They don't reproduce them for any of the 1973 to 1977 Pontiac A-bodies. I could use new ones on my Can Am but for now they're usable.

You might want to check at The A-body Site (www.abodysite,com) forum, or the 1977 Can Am (and '73 to '77 GM A's) group on Facebook. The Yahoo sites are pretty well dead. Performance Years also has a forum, and they're connected with Ames, so while a long shot, it's worth looking at.

Best bet is to find someone who is willing to part with them (good luck with that!) or wait for repros, like I'm gonna have to do.
