1975 firebird formula rear floor pan

I have a 1975 firebird formula and am about to under go replacing the rear floor pans under the seats. I was wondering what's the best way to go about this? Also do I have to drop the rear leaf spring since the mount connects to the rear floor pan.
First time replacing the rear pans so any advice or tips would be super helpful !!!
