1976 Firebird Question

There were 20,613 Formula's in 1976
Concerning a 455 in a Formula, what is the 5th digit in your VIN?
What is the engine code which is located on the passenger side of the front of the block below the cylinder head. It would be a two character letter code.
So far I can find no evidence that the Formula had the 455 as an option.

Heads 6 h
I will check the vin number

WY which is 1969 366Hp
back of block 500813 1975/1976 455
Heads 6H 1975/1976 455
This is what I found from my research

The engine code is telling you it is a 400 from 1976 but the WY wasnt used with a block casting of 500813 that is 75/76 455. The heads match the casting number time of 75/76. You are sure it is WY?
Still need that 5th digit in the VIN?
