I have a 1976 Pontiac Sunbird 2.5 L 4 cylinder that has a dead radiator. It has proven to be extremely hard to find such a radiator in existence and I am wondering if there are other H body cars from the 1970s or 1980s that might have a radiator that is compatible and would fit in my car. I've heard on various forums that the 75-80 Chevy Monza would be a fit, as well as the 76-77 Pontiac Astre, 75-80 Oldsmobile Starfire, 75-80 Buick SkyHawk, the 76-77 Chevy Vega, 80-85 Chevy Citation, 82-86 Buick Regal, and even a 2.5 Jeep XJ Cherokee. I don't know what to think of any of this because I don't have any experience with these other cars and I am looking for a definitive answer as to if any of the radiators from these vehicles (or any other vehicles for that matter) would be compatible with my Sunbird. Thanks!

Look at car-parts.com they have radiators depending on transmission and whether with or without AC

I would look for a local radiator repair shop (if they still exist in your area) and see about having your original radiator recored.

As for what other models will fit, and GM H-Body like the Chevy Monza should fit, but be aware there are many variations with 4, 6, & 8 cylinder engines being installed in them, manual & automatic transmissions ect... If you car is an automatic you will need a Radiator from another car with an automatic transmission so you can hook up the transmission cooler lines. If you car is a manaul you can use either type.

Also are you sure your car has a 2.5 liter Iron Duke? They did not start making the 2.5 until the 1977 Model year. For 1976 the standard 4 cylinder would have been the SOHC 2.3 Liter that was also used in the Chevy Vega.
