1978 Pontiac Firebird Power Steering Issue? Chirping?

I need some help here, please. My 1978 Pontiac Firebird has an issue with what I believe is the power steering. It chirps quite loudly especially when you turn the wheels at a dead standstill. Eventually, after you drive the car a little while, it quiets down...but is still present. What could be the issue here and how would I go about fixing it? Thanks!

did you check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir?

if it's chirping in a rotational time, i'd bet it's the bearings/bushing...is the sound speed relative?
