I bought a 1984 Fiero SE with 2.5L manual trans and it had been in storage for years so I changed all the fluids drained the gas tank , replaced spark plugs, wires , cap and rotor, fuel filter and air filter new battery! It started up but ran with high idle at first after driving it to full operating temp the idle went back to normal! I drove it around a little maybe 25 miles or so then it sat a week then I started it up and I had to pump the accelerator a bunch to get it to fire up it wouldn't stay running unless I kept tapping the gas to keep it going then it started running normal at idel then after 3 minutes of idling it started to spit and spudder then it died! It seems to be starving for fuel so I pulled the fuel line off and turned the key on and got fuel to come out so I then turned it over and the fuel came out good for a few seconds so I think the fuel pump is good so maybe the injector is bad what is the correct ohms range supposed to be on the injector ??????

Pumping the gas pedal is for a carbureted engine. Try doing a fuel pressure test.

well I have to pump the gas to keep it running! I had my wife turn it over so I good see if I was getting fuel and it looks good so fuel isn't the problem now what?? it tries to fire but won't run any suggestions??

how do you test fuel pressure? I replaced the coil because the ohms test said it was bad but that didn't fix my issue if I pour a little bit of fuel in the throttle body the car fires right up so it must be a lack of fuel even though I have fuel coming out of the fuel filter and out of the injector is there anyway to test the pressure regulator??

You need to borrow/buy/rent a pressure gauge and refer to this link for the expected pressure reading, also check the vacuum line attached to the regulator for gas, replace if gas is found, did you test the TPS?

Sounds like you are on the correct path.
