1984 Fiero Speedometer issues!

Don't know what to do with this problem....my speedometer in my 1984 feiro is not working. I bought a new speed sensor, checked the cable, it is attached and looks good. It's still not working.
At this rate, I'll get a speeding ticket in no time flat without a speedo!
Help!

Pull the sensor and make sure the gear is still on the end of it. Mine fell off--twice.

Did you check the speedo itself? on the dash you can renove the rear cover to access the rear of the gauges. Make sure you have 12 volts at the gauge.

Did the new sensor come with a gear? some do not and you are suppose to swap on your old gear. If the old one did not have a gear, You need to get a new one. www.fierostore.com carries them.

Also check the radio fuse (speedometer runs off it), and the speedometer connector under the dash.
