1987 firebird t/a gta 350 engine-engine starts fine-warms up okay shut off -cranks okay-wont start-has spark-40 psi fuel pressure-i've changed all ign components same results-engine cools off-starts fine-same results-i'm replacing egr valve with block off plate and removing egr solenoid-and plugging corresponding vacuum lines tomorrow.Wish me Luck-any ideas?

When you do the fuel pressure test, after you shut off the engine, does the pressure hold?
Is there a separate wire harness connected to the distributor for the computer, and if so can you start it with the harness disconnected?
Do you have the 87 shop manual?
