Hello, I recently purchased a one owner 1992 Sunbird convertible. I noticed that there are two connectors under the dash by the steering column. one looks like a relay can plug into it. The other is a flat plug closer to the center of the dash. could anyone tell me what they are for, or maybe have a wiring diagram for this car. Everything appears to work. It has a 3.1 engine. Thanks Gary.

We have a member, 92 Sunbird Le, who can probably answer the question when he sees it. My guess unused options.

Do have a factory Cassette deck ? That is usually what the flat plug is for.....

Need the wire colors on both to verify...pics help too...I have a 92 factory service manual buried somewhere in my junk.....

I did send you pictures of the connectors. Yes it has a factory cassette and is connected, but it doesn't work. This plug is to short to go anywhere. Also there is 2 hot wires in it.
The other plug closer to the steering column looks like a relay can be plugged into it. Do you think you may have a wiring diagram for this car? It has a 3.1 Liter engine. Thank you for any help.

The square one with the purple, yellow, Lt green , brown wires is for the fog light relay...if so equipped.

The other connecter is for rear defogger, plugs into a timer relay, switch would be with the wiper switch if equipped...these cars were fitted with the full option interior harness, even if some options were not used to save money..

Thank you very much for the info. I was just wondering what the connectors were for.
I appreciate the quick reply. This is a great forum.
