I was hoping when I tried to put freon in my car the compressor would kick on,but it didn't.I checked the fuse and pulled it with the fan on and it shut off.My next move is too check for power at the compressor,but if I find I have power can someone tell what to check next?

Being that year, the relay could be bad as well.If the relay is same as say fuel pump relay, switch them out and see if there is any difference.If you have a bad leak, it could be going out about as fast as it's going in.Depending on miles, check the orfice tube as well, i have seen those be clogged and cost alot of problems.
