1995 Pontiac Firebird - Engine not Starting, ECM - Service Engine Soon - Need help with these...

Engine not starting - Cranks but does not fire. Maybe ECM on car. Checked engine over but i'm used to pre-1979 cars. Haven't car a clue where to start. Possibly the block is flooded with petrol. Took 1 spark plug out and it was covered in carbon and petrol. Dried it off but can't access the rest. Not accessable!

ECM - Service Engine Soon - Comes on with TCS when turning the Key once. Then I can hear the Petrol Pump whirring. But engine still not firing. Bought OBD2 connector and OBD1 program. No error codes so far but going back tomorrow night to check again. Joys! Been there every night and still can't get it working =@
Very Frustrating.

Any recommendations?

Before this happened it was running fine but then the starter motor went. So I replaced it and now won't start. Any help would be useful.

Yea, it could be the opti-spark. But, it could a hundred other things also.

Look thru some of the links here and see if, you can find any help troubleshootin it.

Check coil and also the opti -distributor ,when they go the go . 1995 codes can be brought up by jumping the pins . Your haynes manual will show you. Service engine light will come on when turning the key due to the fact it is in the test mode. When you changed the starter did you bench test the old one cause your secuirty system might be at fault for everything.
