I don't have a manual but have a flashing light on the dash that looks like it is a 'high beam' or light symbol. Any ideas what this is, or how to stop it?

Sunfires are excellent cars, I love mine. I would personally talk to an auto dealer. My dad always helps me with my car. Taking a course in auto mechanic's soon, then I can fix my own car. You should look into auto classes yourself. Men arn't the only car geniuses in the world.

its probably a light inside the dash and unless you have a mechanic's degree i'd take it to your dealer

It means the daytime running lights are not working. Check the headlight wiring harness.
