I bought a 96 grand am and it didnt have a radiator cap so i bought one and now i have serious overheating issue. I replaced the thermostat. and its still overheating and now it dies after a few miles. Where do i go from here.
do the fans comes on when the engine is running hot? Are you sure all the air has been purged from the cooling system? how did you buy a car and road test before buying it, if it didnt have a radiator cap?
