My grandparents are trying to get rid of this car but it doesn't start. They told me if I could get it running and get it off the property I could have it. I just bought a new fuel filter but have yet to install it. I've looked around on the internet quite a bit and it seems a lot of people have had the same problem, however I couldn't find if anyone found the solution.

So when I turn the key over, the engine tries to start but it dies almost immediately. When I turn the key on, I can hear the fuel pump run for about 2-3 seconds. I realize it's impossible to diagnose a car via the internet, but perhaps someone who has dealt with this issue on this particular car might know whether it's the fuel pump or maybe something else. I'm crossing my fingers that when I replace the fuel filter tomorrow it runs, but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am having the same problem with my car! Did u figure out the problem yet? It would be helpful to me to know. People have told me that if I hear the pump running that it is probably the filter. Please let me know.
