I have a 96 sunfire. All of the sudden the turn signals aren't working, neither are the brake lights except the one on top of the trunk. The headlights aren't working on low beam either but they work when I turn my brights on. Could this just be a fuse? I took out the fuse that I THINK controls the turn signals and it looks ok. Please help!

Starting with the rear brake lights, did you check if the bulbs are burnt out? When you say the turn signals arent working, do you mean the dash light comes on but doesnt blink? Did you turn on either for right or left, get out of the car and see if the front turn signal bulb lights up? If both rear bulbs are burnt out the signal indicator on the dash will not function correctly. Do you have the owners manual?

Ok, mysteriously, the brake lights and turn signals started working again. All bulbs are fine. The turn signals were not working on the dash, or on the outside. I checked all on the outside and they weren't working either. I do have the owner's manual. Now, the only problem is that my low beam headlights don't work! Not sure how this is all related! Any thoughts? Thanks so much.

assuming the headlight filament for the low beam is not burnt out, it's beginning to sound like a bad light switch, but you should have it checked rather than changing parts by pure guess work
