I have a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire with a 2.4l. I rebuilt it, now when I try to start it smokes come out of the and I know it is not a carb, but not sure how to spell it. One question I have are the dual overhead cam the same? and is there a right or wrong way to put them in. Thank you all.

how did you rebuild the engine without some sort of shop manual, Hanes, Chilton, etc. to explain how to properly align the timing gears?
Did you follow a procedure to install the chain and gears?
You didnt mix up the intake and exhaust cams?
