Hello my 1997 sunfire keeps blowing the fuse every
time I set it. Some have told me theres the switch on the brake pedal but I cant find it. I found it once but cant look for it by name. Before this started happening now and again when I had the cruise set it would randomly shut off. Like someone had hit the brake pedal only it totally wasn't that. Now it just blows the fuse. Any ideas?

are you looking for the cruise control release switch?

Yes its like a white plastic switch on the brake pedal that turns it off when you press the brake. But on my car it looks like there are 2 different switches but some of the parts im looking at look like one switch 2 different wire leads going to it. Mine looks like 2 different switches

the other one is the brake light switch, check to see if your brake lights work, if they do disconnect one of the switches, if the brake lights stop working that is the brake light switch and the other one is for cruise control

It is a delco switch. The one for cruise control. I was asking if this can cause the fuse to blow itself. I had the switch looked up once by the delco part number. I can't seem to find the page I looked at before. Can this switch go bad causing it to blow a fuse?

anything is possible but you have to test the switch to determine if it is bad or the short is somewhere else. The AC-Delco number is D1574G
