1998 Montana - door lockks but does not unlock on driver side only

The driver side door will lock and unlock with the keyfob. However the door switch will only allow you to LOCK the door but not unlock the door. I replaced the switch and the same problem exists. From the passenger side, you can both lock and unlock from the door switch as I soldered the white wires months ago on the passenger side. Many months ago, I fixed the power sliding door by soldering some wires in the harness below the passenger front door and that fixed my sliding door but this NEW problem just occurred today. Are there any wires on the drivers side where splices were made that I should investigate for this problem? 1998 Pontiac Montana - any help greatly appreciated.

you cannt trace the wires coming off the drivers side switch to a possible break, maybe in the flexible rubber conduit between the door and the body?
