I just bought traded to the car and when I got it the passenger side bright light was not working. then the same night of purchase the driver side low and high beam went out. I went and bought new lights and I started with the driver side low beam. It did not work still so I put the old back in. I then replaced the high beam that was out on the passenger side. All lights then worked but the only one that lit up like it should was the passenger low beam. The other 3 were very dim. As I troubleshoot, I disconnected the new high beam that I just replaced on the passenger side and both driver side lights went out. My question is, What is causing this. This vehicle has been rebuilt in the front end and it looks like someone did some rewiring on the passenger side. Is it a bad ground? I did notice on the passenger low beam there isnt a factory clip that goes on the light , it has individual connectors that go on the light .. after I put new high beam in on passenger side one of the connectors on the low beam was getting hot and starting to melt plastic around connector. Help me out thanks. Oh and when I wiggled wire on the passenger low beam it began to do a dimming flicker.
