So I acquired a 1998 sunfire from my inlaws that I use as a work car. It has a weird brake issue, when I'm applying the brake anywhere between 20-35ish miles an hour there is a weird clicking coming from just above the brake pedal. The brakes function properly the abs works as is should as well. I forgot to mention while this clinking is going on the lights are slightly dimming. It's definitely something electrical, I just didn't know what it is, possible relay? Any help would be appreciated. It only happens at low speeds 20-35 miles, any faster or slower than that and the clicking goes away.

Have you had someone watch the brake lights when you press the pedal to confirm that they work? have you noticed if the sound is coming from the area of the 4 way flasher switch?

Yea the lights work fine, it sounds like a relay, do you know where any of the abs relays are located at?

What and where is the 4 way flasher switch? I know nothing about this car I'm a Vw/Audi guy.

I already have he owners manual, this does not help me diagnose the issue I have.

I pulled the abs relay today and the issue went away, so I'm thinking it might be the abs control module itself. I'm just surprised that these cars have been out for almost 20 yrs and nobody else has had this issue.

you asked where is the 4 way flasher thus the owners manual. You have no brake or abs warning lights? do you have or can rent a abs diagnostic scanner?
