1999 5.7 into a 1998 firbird

Looking for any issues that I may encounter installing a LS1 from a 1999 Firebird into a 1998. Also can i use the plastic 1999 gas tank?

assuming the 98 had an LS1 to start with, try to get the engine wire harness and ecm from the 99

The 98 did have a LS1, I bought it as a rolling chassis after the engine / tranny was removed for a hot rod project. I do have both harnesses and PCM's. Just so much information on what works and doesn't. Thanks for the reply

It should be a strait forward swap, but I would use the 98 PCM & harness as previously mentioned just to make sure.
