1999 Pontiac Grand AM Dash Goes off

Lights stay on but tach, speed, temp go dead as well as the A/C and heat controls also the cruise control. Anyone got any idea? Intermit issue.

Loose ground or power wire.

I would check the ignition switch, the elctrical one at the back of the tumblers. Give the dash a good jolt near the ignition and see if everything swings on.

thank you everyone. Just an FYI tho, if the ignition switch was bad, wouldnt it prevent the car from starting?

No, there are multiple contacts in the switch for different circuits.

Hey Triggz00, have you figured out what was wrong with your grand am? i also have the exact same issue in my 2000 Grand am.

It could also be an intermittent connection at the BCM harness. Have you ever noticed any moisture on the passenger floorboard?
