1999 PONTIAC GRAND AM GT, yesterday the service engine soon light came on, so i took it to autozone, they checked it out and it turned out to be an air flow sensor code: (P0113) so i replaced it, and disconnected both battery trminals to reset the engine light, & today i am driving and the service engine light comens on again, so i go to autozone again, and it turns out to be the same problem, theair flow sensor, the girl told me that it might be defective, so she reset the light and said if it comes on again just come in and trade the defective sensor for a new one, so, about 20 minutes later the engine light comes on again, and i replaced the sensor, and turned off the light. 20 mintues later the light comes on again, i went to autozone and it was the same thing, he turned off the light and said "i hope it works" , thxx buddy i coulda done that :-\
anyways could someone tell me the problem.? i have an aftermarket cold air intake on the car, could that be the problem??
someone help!

p0113 iat circuit high input does not mean that the sensor is bad, but the reference voltage going into it is too high. IAT is the sensor that measures intake air temperature, i am not sure if this incorporated with the air flow sensor on that one. i know on some systems it is but not all of the time. but the problem is still the same the voltage going to that sensor is too high. get that checked out, could be a bad cpu, lacking the ability to drop voltage to the 5 volt range that it should be.

The cold air intake could be setting an out of range condition in the engines computer if you have not changed the calibration for the add ons the computer may not be able to compensate...
