1999 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2 L (5 speed)?

I installed a need fuel pump, but it doesn't pump fuel from the tank. The new pump sounds as it should (engages/disengages correctly). Any ideas why this may be? Thanks
Installation was completed properly. The lines are sized differently - only one way to hook up. The pumps sounds right, but does not pump.

did you try disconnecting the fuel filter, engaging the pump and see if fuel comes out under pressure?
