Hello, recently I put a new radio in my 2000 Pontiac Grand AM SE, after I hooked it all up none of the following lights would work: speedometer lights(the check engine lights, etc all worked, it was just the speedometer, the rpm, the fuel, etc that don't work), shifter lights, and the heater/ac lights. The wire that seems to be the problem is the illumination wire, I can't find where to wire it so it the lights work properly, when I touch it to the battery contant wire, all of the lights turn on, so it's not the lights that are the problem. I could really use some help with this, I couldn't find the problem anywhere else.

If everything worked well before and it doesn't now, I would undo what I had done and see if it comes back first. Then try re-wiring the radio back in. Did your radio not come with an adapter to your stock fitting or was your stock fitting already destroyed/missing?

When I bought the car they had an aftermarket radio in it, and the same problems were happening with that one.

I would still undo everything as best as possible and even get a harness from a junk car and return it to stock as best as possible. Check all fuses/ bulbs (could be burned out)
