My 2000 Montana has the rear hatch ajar light on, annoying to say the least, can't figure out where the sensor is to clean, any ideas on what to do?

Hi !
Remove rear panel . Disconnect the rear door lock assembly and see if the light goes out (Pictured connector 6) . If the light is still on, check the Yellow wire back to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) pin K for a short to ground. Wire changes to a Pink/Black at the IPC . Can also disconnect the IPC and plug the switch back in at the rear. Hook the meter on pin K at the IPC and the other lead to ground. While opening and closing the door, does the resistance to ground come and go? If all is OK, then there is an internal IPC problem.
