My 2000 Montana Looses Power over Quarter Throttle.
It starts and idles fine.
It actually drives fine when doing light in-town driving.
But if you try to "punch it", the power drops out.
It's hard to get on the hiway. Once upto 60 MPH it will maintain it.
It feels fine upto quarter throttle, but above that it will loose power.
Ease of the gas and power comes back.
It does this in Park also.
Over quarter throttle it quits reving up.
It maxes out at about 2400 RPM.
The motor sounds different at the higher throttle, like exhaust noise.
Any ideas? I tried the MAF from another one, but no difference.
No Check Engine light or codes.
The TPS seems fine using my OBD tool.
It shows steady from 0% on up to 100%.

Thanks,
Jeff

Years ago i had a similar problem with a suburban it would bog down under full throttle it turned out to be a clogged fuel filter.

Try fuel filter, air filter, clogged converter.
