Hi out there,
Went to open my passanger rear door the other day (it has electric doors but are switched off) and the door would not open using either the inside or outside handles. It sounds like it wants to open but wont. Any ideas?? Thanks

Almost sounds like the electric motor is fighting you , try turning on the electric auto feature and see what happens .if/when u get it opened clean the door brass pin contacts and brass contact plate on the door post that may fix it good luck and keep us posted . All maybe disconnect your battery for about 30 min to give it a hard reset ????

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I've tried the switches I guess I'll try the "Master Reset" and disconect the battery (hope the radio comes back on!!).
Any idea what to do if this doesn't work?

Somewhere in the owners manual there is a procedure for a reset ,maybe try that first. Then if all else fails pull the plug . :)

I dont have the manual to hand so I've pulled the plug. Just a waiting game now, lets hope it works!

Tried all of the above and the door will still not open. It sounds like the the electrical motor (?) seems to want to work but I noticed that the lock doesn't move.
Thanks anyway.

Might have to open it up to see if the linkage is broke ? If you can't do it maybe a body shop .some of there electric doors have an electric actavator that releases the latch but its odd that it won't do it when you manually pull to open.
