2000 Pontiac Grand Am Performance Issue

has any one seen anything like this? it goes through the gears normal until 3rd gear where it bogs down real low while accelerating and doesn't have much power.

do you have a check engine light on? how many miles since you changed fuel filter? have you done a fuel pressure test?

yeah but just for the evap code or p0440. and the last pressure test was about 2 weeks ago at 50psi at 700 rpms.

and i just changed the fuel filter this summer I'm not sure how many miles are on it now

clogged catalytic convertor? can you hook up a vacuum gauge and see if it reads higher vacuum as you approach the shift?
