Haven't really messed with Trans Ams. Use to other vehicles.

My girlfriend has a 2000 Trans Am. She hasn't had tags for it in over a month. She finally got tags yesterday.

She went to start it and she said it wouldn't start. She tried jumping it off and still wouldn't start. She put a video on Facebook and what she recorded was that the radio kept coming on than shutting off, coming on than shutting off, over and over again.
Seems like something electrical to me.

She started it up a week ago and had no problems out of it. She started it ever week I think so it didn't just sit there.

I'm going to go look at it at some point when I get a chance and it warms up. What do I need to look at and check for. I have some knowledge of electrical stuff.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That is at the beginning of the list. I'll post codes if I get any.

Starting a vehicle and not letting it reach operating temperature is not a good idea, it causes excessive wear. Invest in a battery trickle charger.

Most of the electrical system shuts off when the key is turned to start. My money is on a bad battery. Take it to a parts store and have it tested.

She started it up and drove it down her road and it always got to temperature. She knows that especially having an all aluminum engine. I've told her that.

She tried jumping it off and it didn't do anything. I still am going to check the battery though.
