I have 2001 grand am se 2.4L. for about a month it would start sometimes, and not start other times without a jump. when i turn the key all the lights and other power functions turn on. i can hear the fuel pump engage, then nothing. no sound. doesnt turn over at all. i checked the battery, its a new battery. took the starter out and tested it at oreilly's and they said the flywheel wasn't engaging and it needed a new solenoid. so i replaced the solenoid. now I am trying to figure out the wiring for putting the starter back. and hoping that is the only problem. other people have mentioned it might be the neutral safety switch. dunno if thats a possibility.
