Here I am in Africa with this 2001 Pontiac Aztek am supposed to be proud of (not so proud anymore now that issues have set in).

The major problem is the engine overheating. Usually, the temperature guage is always at north of normal. Now, it sits at the edge of the redzone and then overheats. The mech took out the thermostat completely, changed the water pump, serviced the engine... still no change.

Another thing is, the brake light alarm keeps sounding. It doesn't affect breaking, but the constant sound is not entertaining. I also get on and off Anti-lock and Trac lights coming on.

The latest thing is the battery draining. Don't know if the battery is bad, but the battery gets drained after sitting for some hours.

I need HELP!!!:(

Is the engine fan coming on at about 220 degrees?
You may have a bad wheel sensor or the harness going to a sensor.
Have the battery load tested to see if it is failing and check for a parasitic battery drain.

You went to Africa where it is super warm year round, while your car is most likely ready for all weather I.e. antifreeze.all these problems are temperature related, but yeah the harness is probably puking.make sure there aren't any rattlesnakes hiding in your radiator...
