2001 Pontiac Aztek rear running lights out & fog lights inoperable?

there is one light out, the right high beam light, but I don't think that would affect the rear nighttime running lights and when I push the switch to turn on the fog lights nothing happens at all

are you pushing the fog light switch with the headlight switch set to low beam, it will not work if set to high beam
