2001 Pontiac Firebird maintenance problem?

I have a 2001 Pontiac Firebird (V6). Lately, I've been having some maintenance problems with it. Basically what's happening, is that I will be driving it, and the steering wheel will lock up, and the car stauls out. After that the check gauges light comes on. So I check my guages, and everything is fine. I change the oil, make sure I have enough power steering fluid, but I don't know what's up. I thought it could be bad fuel from the gas station, but that isn't the case either.I'm going to take it to the shop tomorrow to see what the problem is. Please help if possible.

when the car stalls, you lose power steering

you must find out why its stalling, maybe a fuel problem
