2001 Pontiac Sunfire, when roads are wet, car will not stop ?
when it is not raining, car will stop when braking with no problem, but if the roads are wet car will not stop,

If you're getting any kind of brake warning lights, unusual shuddering, or unusual brake pedal feedback during these episodes - may have a problem with the ABS system.

Tires may be an issue. Some of today's tires have treadwear ratings of 400, 500, or more. This roughly translates to an expected tire life of 80,000 - 100,000 miles. To get this kind of life, the manufacturer may use a harder tire compound that wears more slowly, as opposed to using a taller tread-depth. The tradeoff is that the 'grip' may not be satisfactory under wet conditions.
