Besides being one of the ugliest cars on the road, this car is famous for its poorly made plastic parts failing as your trunk locking mechanism has. Remove the inner panel covering the locking mechanism and manually trip the lever.

.If key rotates in cyl but does not open it then it a latch or rod level problem. If your not good with trim panels take it to the repair shop or you'll break the panel.If your good take the panel off with the door closed yes you can do this.Locate the latch and trigger it by hand. Now see if the rods are bent or fallen off or if the latch is worn out .Good luck hope I helped.
