I bought a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire and need to know where such hoses attach to from the coolant reaervoir. There's two hoses at the bottom they are connected respectively but the single hose attached at the top is just dangling which the coolant leaks out of. Could anyone help?

Edit: I connected the hose to a bolt and put a clamp on it till I can figure out where the top hose goes!

I can't tell either. Hopefully I get this sorted cause my jobs to home commute is long and the car needs coolant every two to three days..

There's no leaks or anything on the reservoir.
The hose wasn't attached to anything when I bought it and finally looked at it. it was making noise and I found out it had no coolant. Put the coolant in and after flowing coolant had started running out of that single hose. As stated I had just put the hose end on a bolt and clamped it so non of the coolant came out. Now I'm new to Pontiac cars coming from hondas.. I just can't figure out where the hose attached to so it may circulate the coolant to the proper locations. Also the Sunfire tank is the one that came from factory. Car runs like a champ I've been working on it just need to know where that one piece goes for the fluids coming out to go into proper place..

Sorry if I was repeating.

Again, the open end of the hose doesnt connect to anything, it is the overflow hose and should not be blocked.
You have a bad cap on the bottle or something is causing the engine to run too hot causing the pressure to release through the cap.

So we would need a new cap to keep it from overheating? I'm going through the same thing
