My Grand Am will start up every time first start of the day. After driving and my car being totally heated up it will start up again like within 20 minutes. After then if not started it will not start. Spray it with starting fluid it would for a week or 2, now the engine will start and die after the starting fluid wears off.

My car will always start after it being cooled down for a few hours. any ideas? thanks

Try a fuel pressure test when the engine wont start. Check if the coil packs have a burnt ground contact in their mount.
