2002 montana left sliding door issues

on the wifes van the left sliding door only opens about 8" then seems to get stuck. What could be the issue? Any help would be appreciated!

Check the rollers and track see if there is something blocking it , ice , rubber weather stripping. Also while there grease it up.

What is recommended to use for lubing? and where all needs lubed?

The slider has 3 points that slide. 1 on the top rail 2 is the mid rail and 3rd is the bottom rail by ur feet area by the rocker panel. I just use wd 40 or lithium grease. One time my weather stripping was coming off the floor and jamming into the bottom track. Very easy to see and fix. It just pushes back onto the metal part above the rail.

i had that problem and found a paper wasp nest in there. had to use spray and a long stick and a few swearwords.

Mine was a wadded cable at motor in rear seating area big pain to fix as mine self destructed the spool motor cable and the cable sensor which was beeping forever. Had to cut cable to get door manual function to replace cable.
