When I put it in gear sometimes it will go n sometimes it won't do I need to replace the transmission I'm lost its my first owned vehicle and I need it running bad bad can anyone help

Did you check the fluid level?
Have you ever dropped the pan and changed the filter and fluid?

So you are saying no to both questions?
Recommend you get a filter and fluid change and add a bottle of Lucas Transmission Additive.
Do not flush the transmission.

Also make sure the shifter is fully engaging the gear you want to select. Is this car a column or floor shift model? If it will not engage in drive, will it engage in L1 or L2? Reverse?
