2002 pontiac grand am?

i have found the fuse box for the car. Problem is I just paid $25 for a fm transmitter and cant use it cause the cigarette lighter doesnt work. I think its the fuse. Can someone tell me which fuse is responsible for powering the cigarette lighter? I have looked through the manual and cant find it.

Did you check the voltage & continuity at the base of the cigarette lighter socket? If the fuses all to apear to be OK this is the first place I'd check.

yes ...there is also a fuse box on the right side of the dash. you will find that fuse there.
