My 2003 Grand Am G/T 4 Door sedan wouldn't start. I drove it to Sears for basic maintenance, when the technician came back from my car he stated "It won't start" The dashboard lights would turn on but no fan, turnover of engine, or noise from the vehicle. Among the lights, the security light was blinking. I had to tow it to an independent electrical shop and within minutes, the technician started my vehicle after locking and unlocking the door, and then restarting the car. He states the Sears technician activated it by leaving the key in the ignition for too long.
What exactly caused this?? It has worked PERFECT since, and this hasn't ever happened in 10 years of ownership.
As a sidenote/ rant, Sears refuses to credit me for the $110.00 fee the electrical shop imposed.....guess I FINALLY learned never to use Sears again
